Our paper on the rscreenorm normalization method for genetic screens is now published as:
Rscreenorm: normalization of CRISPR and siRNA screen data for more reproducible hit selection. BMC Bioinformatics 19:301. DOI: 212859-018-2306-z
The paper includes examples where screen data of at least 5 cell lines are normalized simultaneously. In addition to illustrating how reprocibility of hits is improved by using rscreenorm, we also show how the proportion of false positives is kept under control when rscreenorm is used, in contrast to what happens when simple median-centering normalization is applied, or the common (robust) z-scores.
